Kosta Boda’s newly launched Rocky Baroque – designed by Hanna Hansdotter – is a playful remix of the classical column.
Vibrant colours mix with unyielding shapes, and the item resides in the borderlands between sculpture and utility object, a recurring theme in the designer’s work.
Humour and irony are other tools used to interpret and challenge authoritarian principles. The result is its own genre – Rocky Baroque.
The collection, launched in 2023, is handmade in Kosta, Sweden.
