Rosenthal’s anniversary collection, Sixty&Twelve, has won an iF Award 2021 in the Professional Concept category.

The limited collection celebrates the 60th anniversary of the Rosenthal studio line and translates 60 iconic vases with twelve contemporary colours.

Included in the line-up are Rosenthal classics such as Plissée by Martin Freyer (1968), Pollo by Tapio Wirkkala (1970), Conio by Michele De Lucchi (1994), Fast by Cédric Ragot (2006) and Fondale by Office for Product Design (2017). The shapes are as varied as the colours: they range from pure, architectural volumes to lush, floral objects, all made of through-dyed porcelain mass. All vases are limited to 60 pieces and feature a number in the bottom stamp.

This latest award joins the ranks of Rosenthal’s more than 500 design awards and its 294th iF Design Award. The iF Design Award is one of the most coveted awards in the design scene and honours outstanding design achievements in seven disciplines ranging from product design to architecture and professional concept. This year, the jury consisting of 98 independent international design experts evaluated more than 10,000 submissions from over 40 countries, more than ever before.
