Gibson Homewares and brand partner Sur La Table will launch a new tabletop collection in late 2022. Buyers and retailers have already seen the new collection at Inspired Home Show in Chicago and the New York Tabletop Show this past April.
“People loved the Sur La Table dinnerware in Chicago and New York,” says Gibson senior vice president of creative Laurie Gates. “The elegant minimalism of the plates, bowls and serving vessels perfectly aligns with the brand’s bistro aesthetic.”
David Nicklin, Gibson’s senior vice president of marketing and licensing agrees.
“During the pandemic, cooking and dining at home went from being a chore to a joy,” he says. “Consumers’ tastes in dinnerware and serveware have matured, so our Sur La Table tabletop collection was conceived with these savvy shoppers in mind.”
Executive vice president of brand strategy and owner of Sur La Table Jerry Haggerty agrees.
“We are very excited about our partnership with Gibson Homewares as they bring the SLT cookware and tabletop collection to the marketplace,” said Haggerty. “The design and execution are simple and classic, staying true to the French Bistro heritage of the 50-year-old brand.”
Gibson Homewares announced its partnership with Seattle success story Sur La Table recently. With Gibson’s size and might now behind the bestselling gourmet brand, Sur La Table will be available to retailers across the United States. Talks are in progress to offer the brand internationally.
