Cancelled: Maison et Objet

Maison&Object

Show will not take place in September

The September edition of Maison &Objet will not take place, organisers have announced.

The second Maison&Objet show of 2020 – the first took place in January prior to widespread lockdown – was due to run from 4 to 8 September, but will now not go ahead according to organisers who made the announcement yesterday.

Speaking about the decision, managing director Philippe Brocart says: “Although there are encouraging signs of the pandemic beginning to decrease, we believe there are still far too many uncertainties regarding the travel conditions for international exhibitors and visitors. Furthermore, the lack of clarity regarding the ability to hold large gatherings in early September in France has played a major part in influencing our decision to call off the September edition of Maison&Objet, despite the fact that 80 per cent of stands had already been reserved by April 2020”.

The next edition of the show will now take place in 2021 with Maison&Objet running from 22 to 26 January.

Notably, Maison will host a Digital Fair via its online platform MOM.
