As the New York Tabletop Show at 41 Madison takes place, we bring you some highlights from exhibitors.
With inspiration from jewels and gemstones designer Lena Bergström has renewed the cut crystal with the glass series Carat. The sharp and unique asymmetrical grinding reflects our times with a scent of Nordic romance. The cylindrical vases have a yin-yang effect. The vase that is ground at the top creates a sparkling collar for flowers. The vase that is ground at the bottom smooths the colour of the stems into a shimmering green.
Meanwhile, Discus by Lars Hellsten is now available in steel, gold and frosted colours. Designed expressly to herald the World Athletics Championships in 1995, inspired by its namesake, the discus is polished above and patterned beneath, the finish sparkling in the candle glow like an Olympic flame.
