Stelton acquires Danish ceramics manufacturer Knabstrup Keramik

It was announced this week that Stelton has completed the acquisition Danish ceramic company Knabstrup Keramik.

Knabstrup Keramik was fully integrated into the Stelton company as of 1 May.

Knabstrup Keramik has experienced positive sales growth in recent years and will now benefit from Stelton’s international organisational setup to accelerate its growth. Karsten Madsen, CEO of Knabstrup Keramik, stated: “Inflation and especially high shipping costs have been a big challenge for our industry. We found a solution that was attractive to both parties. Additionally, I look forward to joining Stelton A/S’ board of directors and thus also following the development of Knabstrup Keramik in the future.”

Michael Knudsen from Knabstrup Keramik will join Stelton’s management team as marketing director of Stelton A/S.
“Ceramics have had fantastic development in recent years,” says Stelton’s CEO Michael Ring. “Many new names have emerged, and many have also fallen, but Knabstrup Keramik still builds on the history of the old arts and crafts industry, which gives them great potential and relevance in the market.”
