Royal Delft has introduced a new collection – The Wunderkammer. Inspired by the cabinets of curiosities and delftware of the 17th century, the collection boasts an eclectic array of motifs with frogs, beetles, turtles and other creatures featuring on pieces.
Wunderkammers or cabinets of curiosity were popular ways to entertain guests in the 17th century and beautiful collections of Delft Blue often stood proudly next to the cabinets of curiosities.
Royal Delft’s The Wunderkammer is inspired by both – the cabinets of curiosity and Delft Blue from the 17th century, but in a contemporary series. The collection is made with an artisan transfer technique and consists of a wide range of both decorative and functional products that fit in contemporary interiors. The application of a gold accent gives the collection extra appeal.
The collection is on sale in the Royal Delft showroom and online via www.royaldelft.com.
