A new homewares collection featuring illustrations from the archives of the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew is about to hit retail.
Pure Table Top has partnered with the iconic British institute to create an inspirational new series called Bloom.
The collection – which launches in October 2021 – features eight mug designs along with placemats, coasters, tea towels and oven gloves. Proceeds from the collection directly support the vital plant science and conservation work of the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew.
The collection’s illustrations have been selected from the botanical art library and archives of the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew with Bloom showcasing the stunning beauty of botanist drawings with some dating back over 300 years.
They have been reimagined and reproduced to create this distinctive collection.
Bloom has four designs in the collection: Midnight Floral, Floral Butterfly, Fruit & Floral, Bee Floral offering a selection of background colours to complement kitchen décor – dark navy, pale pink, duck egg blue, and sage green. The collection comprises mugs, table mats and coasters along with household textiles – tea towels and oven gloves.

Our designers carefully selected the illustrations from Kew’s Archive, recreating them to feature across the collection. They will be a real feature in any kitchen or dining table!†says Lucie Taff, Head of Product at Pure Table Top.

What’s more the mug shape was designed exclusively for this collection and is produced in beautiful fine china.
The kitchen linens are made with BCI cotton – the largest sustainable cotton programme globally and the placemats and coasters have a lacquer finish making them heat resistant to 150C.
Shoppers can purchase the beautiful new array of homeware products knowing that their purchase is supporting and funding Kew’s vital conservation work, Kew works with over 800 partner organisations in over 100 countries, helping to protect, conserve and better understand some of the world’s rarest plants.
The new collection launches in October 2021 and will be available from the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, and online at Home | The Kew Shop  and in independent gifts shops, nationwide.
