Beatriz Ball has rebranded her metalware collection with a new name – ATELIER. The popular lifestyle brand is revisiting its roots in sand-cast metalware and emphasizing that each Beatriz Ball metal product is an act of creation, slowly made entirely by hand, one at a time.
“An atelier is a workshop where artists create,” said award-winning designer, Beatriz Ball, explaining the new name. “A place of slow and deliberate creation, where generations of artisans hone their craft under the same roof.
“The tools themselves hold stories, passed down from master to apprentice,” Ball continued. “Techniques are not just learned, but inherited, creating a sense of lineage and belonging, where the artisans become part of a living tradition. It takes years and years of apprenticeship, and most have been trained by their fathers and grandfathers.
“Handcrafted objects hold a special energy, a certain magic, each piece tells a story through its subtle imperfections,” said Ball. “The texture you feel, the weight you hold – these become reminders of the human hands behind it.”
“Owning something handmade is an investment in sustainability, a conscious choice to support artisans and reduce waste,” she said. “Handmade objects, as they pass down through generations, become heirlooms; they are stories waiting to be told.”
Beatriz Ball will introduce a new multicoloured metalware collection called Encanto and will highlight the Atelier Collection in special displays in Dallas and Atlanta during Summer 2024 Markets.
