Andreas Schmid has been elected as the new Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Villeroy & Boch AG.
An entrepreneur, Andreas Schmid, was elected to the Supervisory Board at the 2020 Annual General Meeting as proposed by the shareholders and has already been able to familiarise himself with the company and the tasks ahead. A Swiss citizen, Andreas Schmid, holds a degree in law (lic. iur.) from the University of Zurich, where he also studied business administration. He has many years of international experience in corporate management, both on the executive side and on that of the controlling body. As an entrepreneur, he has already chaired or presided over various companies.
Andreas Schmid takes over from Dr Alexander von Boch-Galhau, who has resigned from his position as Chairman of the company’s Supervisory Board at the end of the Annual General Meeting on 26 March 2021. Mr von Boch-Galhau will continue to serve on the Supervisory Board as an ordinary member.
