Italian design powerhouse Alessi continue to mark their 100 year anniversary with the release of new ‘values’ within the Alessi Values Collection.

Each value, in the shape of a new or reimagined product, represents the company’s core beliefs – they define Alessi’s identity.

The collection consists of objets never produced until now – 12 values, 12 projects and 12 months. To celebrate one hundred years of research in the field of applied arts and the beginning of a new century of experimentation.

Alessi’s Research Lab value is represented by a novel edition of two of the company’s iconic espresso coffee makers from one of their unreleased laboratory proofs. These espresso coffee makers are regarded as the utmost expression of such research: Richard Sapper’s 9090 Manico forato (pictured) and Aldo Rossi’s La conica manico lungo.

New pieces were introduced in May with Craftsmanship, June was Art, July was Paradox, August was Beyond, September was Hybridisation, October was Research Lab while November and December’s pieces are Irony and Borderline which will be showcased in the next issue of Tableware International. Pieces will be unveiled in the Values Collection until April 2022.
