Kosta Boda is introducing new additions to its acclaimed Pavilion collection this September. Designed by the internationally celebrated Swedish design duo Front, made up of Anna Lindgren and Sofia Lagerkvist, Pavilion is defined by a bold interplay of geometric forms and a characteristic pattern of vertical and horizontal ridges. The collection’s original vases were developed to suit all types of floral arrangements from generous bouquets and flowering branches to single stems and delicate seasonal flowers.
Now, the collection is bolstered by the addition of new bowls, tumblers and highball glasses which extend Pavillion beyond floral arrangements, carrying the same sculptural expression into everyday rituals of serving, dining and gathering.
Whether used on the dining table, kitchen counter or as decorative objects, the new additions bring Pavilion’s identity into new settings while remaining unmistakably part of the same collection. While each object has its own personality, together they form a cohesive family of pieces designed to be mixed, matched, and displayed in countless combinations.
For Front, whose work often explores the relationship between objects, materials and the stories they tell, Pavilion reflects an approach where experimentation meets everyday use. Since founding the studio in 2003, Lagerkvist and Lindgren have become internationally recognised for projects that challenge conventional design processes, at times involving animals, computers and machines as collaborators. Their work spans furniture, interiors and objects for companies including Vitra, Moroso, Moooi, Kvadrat, Swedese and Tom Dixon, and is represented in museum collections such as MoMA in New York, the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, Centre Pompidou in Paris, M+ in Hong Kong, Nationalmuseum in Stockholm and the Vitra Design Museum in Germany.
