First class speakers will take to the stage at Ambiente to discuss the future of the consumer goods industry. A meeting of minds will take place at the Ambiente Academy in Hall 9.0 and the HoReCa Academy in Hall 6.0 with renowned speakers providing insights into essential market developments.

At both the Ambiente Academy and the HoReCa Academy, professional buyers from the Dining, Living and Giving segments will find out what moves the global market. On all five days of the fair, experts from various disciplines will discuss the challenges facing the retail trade as well as the hospitality and contract business on the lecture stages in Hall 9.0 E80 and Hall 6.0 D40.

“After almost two years without international consumer-goods fairs, impulses and content are essential for the sector. The topic of how to act in a crisis and quickly identify new opportunities is particularly topical. With this in mind, we want to create real added value for our visitors with an exciting Academy programme”, says Philipp Ferger, Vice President Consumer Goods Fairs. The focus in both halls will be on current trends, concepts and practical tips from renowned experts and industry stars such as Prof. Dr. Gerald Lembke, Hon. Prof. Dr. Sascha Peters, Diana Drewes, Klaus Lach, Andreas Reiter, Jesper Efferbach, Valda Goodfellow, and Pierre Nierhaus.

HoReCa Academy again with hospitality star cast

The HoReCa Academy will be held only for the second time in 2022 and will offer a rich menu of insights into international hospitality. The growing HoReCa offer in Hall 6.0 was successfully launched at Ambiente 2020 and is a special highlight. In the midst of the companies exhibiting there, renowned industry experts from all over the world impart valuable specialist knowledge and bring decision-makers for the furnishing of major projects together in one place.

What are the lessons learned specifically for the HoReCa sector after the drastic pandemic experience? Which unique examples for the table setting in the hospitality industry are in demand? What will gastronomy and lobbies look like in the hotel of the future? What are the recipes for success of international hospitality stars? In expert presentations, decision-makers from the hotel and catering industry, professional buyers, furnishers, interior architects or designers for hotels, restaurants, clubs and co-working spaces will find out what matters tomorrow in this dynamic segment: from innovative catering concepts to growth opportunities.

Jesper Efferbach

Jesper Efferbach, Jeff&Co Group, shares his view on the current state and future of the global foodservice industry in his presentation “The New Normal”. What has changed due to the impact of the Covid-19 virus? What rules of the new normal will we have to adapt to in the future? In his talk, he covers both front-of-house and back-of-house operations. He also looks at how sustainability investments are being used as sales and marketing tools “After the Corona pandemic, we will be confronted with a new reality, combined with the rapidly growing demand for sustainable and environmentally friendly products, we need to be prepared for this,” Efferbach urges.

Valda Goodfellow

Future guest needs must be anticipated now, this is also the approach of Valda Goodfellow, Managing Director, Goodfellow & Goodfellow Ltd. in her contributions “Changing Tastes – What’s next for restaurant tableware?” and “Stay & Eat – new formats for the table setting”. She focuses on the factors that are changing the hospitality scene and examines what this means for the development of and demand for tableware. From consumer behaviour to operational challenges, from changing travel patterns to the way people work, all these factors will lead to the evolution of this sector. Manufacturers and producers will learn from her what they can do to act early in terms of these evolving needs.

Pierre Nierhaus, renowned consultant and trend expert for the international hospitality industry, gives an overview of sustainable hospitality trends. “Experience from previous crises has shown that after a low, the upswing is all the stronger,” Nierhaus is convinced. In this sense, his forecast is “Business will be back”. In his lectures, decision-makers of F&B concepts will learn what they should consider in order to set up their concept in a trend-safe manner.

Selected contributions also part of Ambiente digital addition

Selected lectures and guided tours of the fair will be streamed for the supplementary digital platform. This is because Ambiente will be expanded from 2022 to include additional digital offers and networking formats in the form of digital addition. Visitors will be able to attend live as well as network online and follow selected fair highlights in content stream. These contributions can afterwards be found on the Conzoom Solutions knowledge platform.

For international visitors who are not allowed to come to Frankfurt due to travel restrictions, Ambiente digital addition thus enables efficient networking with exhibitors on site in Frankfurt.

The digital exchange is already possible one week before and two weeks after the event. In addition, the online platforms Nextrade and Conzoom Solutions have been supplying the consumer-goods sector with industry-relevant content 365 days a year since 2019 and offer digital order and data management.

The next Ambiente will take place from 11 to 15 February 2022.
