The wine world has long enjoyed the benefits of fine glassware, enhancing the enjoyment of the beverage. Extending this to beer, Holmegaard has partnered with the brewery Mikkeller to create a line of contemporary beer glasses. Designed to optimize taste and enhance the drinking experience, this collaboration combines expert brewing with Holmegaard’s renowned glassmaking craftsmanship.

Established in Copenhagen, Denmark in 2006, Mikkeller is a beacon of craft beer innovation. Born in the kitchen of Mikkel Borg Bjergsø, Mikkeller has become synonymous with innovation in the beer world—with flavors savored in over fifty countries. Known for boundary-defying brews and worldwide culinary collaborations, its distinct, playful labels featuring the mascots Henry & Sally have become a signature. “I am thrilled to announce the launch of our new beer glasses, developed with one of the world’s best craft brewers, Mikkeller. Our goal was to bring the elegance and sophistication Holmegaard is known for in wine glasses to the growing craft beer category. Gone are the days of thick, heavy beer glasses that make all beers taste the same. We look forward to elevating the sensory experience for beer lovers with a perfectly crafted set of glasses for specialty beers,” says Thomas Perez, CEO of Rosendahl Design Group in the US.

The new sensory glass series comes in an uncompromising yet playful design. Holmegaard x Mikkeller brings out the best in the beers of our time, from IPA to pilsner, with three special glasses and two annual editions.

IPA Glass
Crafted specifically for IPA enthusiasts, this glass stands tall with a tapered top, ideal for IPAs and hop-centric ales. Its slender waist enhances the beer’s aromatics upon pouring, encouraging a symphony of scents as the glass is tipped. A textured base inside the glass agitates the beer upon settling down, stimulating a cascade of bubbles that elevate the tasting experience.

Pint Glass
The quintessential pint glass, designed for lagers and beers meant to be savored without agitation, has a gently widening cylindrical shape known as a “bodega” in Danish circles. Its interior base features a subtle etching, invigorating a stream of bubbles for an olfactory feast.

Universal Glass
This versatile glass, shorter and broader in stature, is tailored for robust beers like stouts or porters. Its footed base and tulip-inspired shape ensure the beer stays chilled and the aromas focused.

Holiday 2024
2024’s holiday release skates you into a whimsical, snowy escapade with the mascots Henry & Sally, making every sip a festive celebration. Each glass proudly bears the laser-engraved Holmegaard x Mikkeller logo, symbolizing the craftsmanship and spirit of our collaboration.

Annual Release
This year’s theme encapsulates the essence of the Holmegaard x Mikkeller collaboration, with each glass adorning a colourful, detailed depiction that brings our shared story to life.
