As part of its sponsorship of the 50 Best Recovery Summit, Nude will present a wine and glassware workshop hosted by British wine expert Douglas Blyde on Wednesday 14 October, 6pm BST.

Running from 13th – 15th October on The World’s 50 Best Restaurants Facebook channel, the summit will gather the global food community online to share learnings, promote best practices and present visions of a post pandemic world for restaurants and diners.

The 20-minute masterclass by Blyde will reveal the importance of using high-quality glassware and expert tips for tasting wine, with wine provided by Beronia. Blyde will utilise Stem Zero, a simple and elegant range of highly sophisticated stemware made with ‘Ion Shielding Technology’. Revolutionary in its simplicity, the collection features incredibly tough, yet exquisitely fine, lead-free crystal glass designed to satisfy the most discerning wine connoisseur. Each of the 16 stemware shapes is designed to suit a style of wine instead of a specific grape, simplifying the process of selecting the best glass. A water glass completes the offering.

The Recovery Summit forms part of the overall 50 Best for Recovery programme, launched earlier this year in lieu of The World’s 50 Best Restaurants 2020 events and list publication, which are postponed until 2021.

Since the onset of the global pandemic, the 50 Best team has focused its resources on 50 Best for Recovery, providing tangible financial relief as well as creating and collating helpful resources for hospitality businesses as they emerge from the pandemic and seek actionable advice and support. To date, the World’s 50 Best Recovery CIC, an independent non-profit body created to administer the funds raised, has distributed $1.23 million to restaurants and bars in need of support, as well as to a series of non-profit organisations supporting the sector.
