Messe Frankfurt is hosting a special online event examining how brands can get the most out of China’s social commerce scene.
Given that China is widely regarded as a pioneer in social commerce, and many developments emerging from the country are rapidly shaping international markets, Messe Frankfurt’s online event “Social Commerce in China – what brands need to know now”, will explore the trends that manufacturers and brands should be paying attention to today.
Industry experts will provide insights into key platforms, evolving consumer behaviour and emerging business opportunities. In his keynote presentation, digital transformation expert Björn Ognibeni will explain why social commerce in China operates differently from Western e-commerce, the role platforms such as RedNote (Xiaohongshu) play in building brand visibility and awareness, and why businesses should gain an early understanding of these developments. Complementing the keynote, Vyvyan Wang will offer practical insights into the potential of social commerce on China’s leading lifestyle platform. As a specialist for the Home Category at Xiaohongshu, she will demonstrate how European brands can increase their visibility and commercial success in the Chinese market through authentic content and targeted strategies.
The free Digital Academy webinar will be held online in both German and English on 1 July 2026 at 10am CET. Registration is now open here.
