The latest issue of Tableware International is online now. Despite these being difficult times, the industry must remain resolute and there is plenty of exciting new product adorning the pages of our latest issue Despite news that our friends at 41 Madison have had to follow The Inspired Home Show and make the difficult decision to call off the spring edition of The New York Tabletop Show, we have opted to run our traditional show preview, so buyers can still see a small selection of what is available this season.
This magazine was produced fresh from Ambiente – Hall 6, the new HoReCa-focused hall, was an outstanding success, reflecting strength in the industry. Porland was one of the notable companies who hosted stands in two halls – 4.1 and 6. We caught up with marketing group manager Ümran Ünsal who talked to us about retail, hospitality, export markets and much more.
Ambiente was also where Tableware International met with Sacha Walckhoff – creative director with Christian Lacroix who designed one of Rosenthal’s newest collection – Magic Garden. What a pleasure to meet such passionate creative, a designer who crafts from the heart, someone who wants everyone to enjoy the pleasures of porcelain.
Speaking of passionate creatives, the team at Studio Levien were the brains behind Villeroy & Boch’s NewMoon collection. NewMoon has become one of the triumphs of the new season with sculptural shapes, an interesting narrative and the might of Villeroy & Boch behind it. We speak with Robin Levien RDI about the processes involved in crafting a collection such as NewMoon, while also hearing from Villeroy & Boch about how they engaged with the collaborative process.
Our trend analyst Donna Ferrari casts her keen eye over notable collections, highlighting those with the x factor. We also take a look at glassware with our six-page guide, starting on page 34.
Our next magazine is a HoReCa specific one which we are compiling now so do send all of your products and news to mairead@lemapublishing.co.uk.
