LSA International has unveiled its SS ’21 season – inspired by the rituals of daily life.

Nine new collections have been added to the Select (a curated edit), Signature (contemporary pieces) and Standard (practical dining and entertaining) product ranges with LSA saying the new season launches have been designed to enhance different environments within the home, essentially making the work-life environment more aesthetically pleasing.

Select Tableware

Palazzo

Palazzo: Hand-painted tableware inspired by the grandeur of luxury hotels, Palazzo adds a decadent touch of sophistication to tea and coffee. A porcelain teapot and cups and saucers for are individually hand painted with platinum and iridescent lustres for an opulent finish. Available in sea green, burnt ember, rose pink and pearl colourways.

Signature Drinkware & Tableware

Cask

Cask: A contemporary collection of mouth-blown whisky drinkware comprising decanters, weighty tumblers and combination sets. The cube, rectangular and oblong shapes of the decanters are individually fitted with bespoke stoppers, moulded from solid glass and ground by hand. The cylindrical tumbler has a cube-shaped impression in the heavy base, inspired by the shape of a giant ice cube, while echoing the geometric profiles of the decanters. The Connoisseur Set includes a decanter and tumblers on a rectangular tray inlaid with cork veneer, making a statement serving set for the modern bar.

Epoque

Epoque: A celebration of Fin de Siecle glamour, Epoque comprises mouth-blown glasses for Champagne and cocktails. Evocative of 1920s coupes, the curved bowls and hollow stems taper towards flat, disc-shaped feet for a vintage-inspired silhouette with a contemporary twist.

Bubble

Bubble: Inspired by the shape, iridescent finish and movement of bubbles, the round, rocking tumblers and stemmed goblets with spherical bowls are hand-painted with a sheer, pearlescent lustre. The versatile glasses may be used to serve water, wine, cocktails or long drinks over ice.

Mia

Mia: Handmade from 100 per cent recycled glass, this versatile collection comprises a variety of new tumbler shapes and bowls in different sizes alongside vase/lanterns. The conical and flared tumblers may be used for water, juice, cocktails or beer, which the serveware ranges from small dishes for nuts and olives to wide fruit bowls to large salad bowls. The subtle fluting of the glass adds tactility to the delicate green finish, while the appearance of small air bubbles are characteristic of the handmade process.

Signature Interior

Plateau

Plateau: Plateau comprises versatile organisation sets the desk, bedside table or hallway made from a combination of natural ash wood, cork veneer and mouth-blown glass. Recesses in the wood are designed to hold the mouth-blown glass accessories which vary depending on the configuration – a plant or pen pot, carafe and tumbler set or both. A narrow groove along one edge is designed to hold a pen or pencil, while the flat, cork-covered plane offers space for stationery or personal effects such as a phone, keys, notepad or paper clips. Whether used on the desk, as a docking station for keys and mail in the hall or for serving water beside the bed, Plateau is a versatile organisation solution for the modern home and workspace.

Canopy

Canopy: A collaboration with the Eden Project, the Canopy collection is centred around the concepts of propagation and hydration. This season’s new designs include hanging planters, centrepieces, new planters and vase shapes. The contemporary domed and curved shapes are inspired by the Eden Project’s iconic Biomes. Each piece is mouthblown from 100% recycled glass, following the sustainable practice of turning discarded material into something useful. Agglomerated cork, made from waste fragments of sustainably harvested cork bark, is also used as a component of selected designs. A subtle green tint is produced and air bubbles will occur as part of the recycled source material and handmade process.

Mia

Mia: More from the Mia collection is a variety of versatile new vase/lanterns in assorted sizes alongside drinkware and serveware pieces. The flared shapes may be used as vases for fresh blooms, seasonal foliage, dried flowers or as lanterns. The subtle fluting of the glass adds tactility to the delicate green finish, while the appearance of small air bubbles are characteristic of the handmade process.

Rotunda

Rotunda: The architectural appeal of Rotunda’s cased sapphire glass vases and lanterns lies in the collection’s use of angular shapes and corrugated texture. Inspired by the iconic Warsaw Rotunda building, the collection explores the concepts of perspective, scale and repetition found in contemporary architecture.

Gems

Gems: New to Gems this season is tealight holder sets in assorted colourways – jade, garnet and amber. Inspired by the facets of cut and polished gemstones, each glass the set is hand painted in different one of four tonal shades, enhanced by the fluted texture of the glass. The iridescent finish and pleated surface catches and reflects the light in different ways, changing with soft glow of candlelight.

Standard Drinkware & Interior

Market

Market: A versatile series of mouth-blown vessels which feature a woven-like textured base, reminiscent of a market basket. The different heights and widths recall the varying tubs used to display stems and bouquets at the flower market. The assortment of shapes may be used for cut flowers and foliage, as plant pots, as lanterns or as display containers for citrus fruits or pinecones.
