Premium candle specialists, Bolsius Professional, has unveiled national research revealing that 91 per cent of UK consumers consider ambiance important when choosing which hospitality venues to visit*.  Added to this, 81 per cent agreed that ambiance is important to their decision to stay out longer, or to return to an establishment.

With 62 per cent of consumers saying that the presence of candlelight improves the ambiance in restaurants Bolsius Professional is launching a professional guide on ambiance in hospitality to help hospitality professionals create dining experiences that delight demanding diners and keep them coming back for more.

Research found that the majority of UK diners expect a candle on their table (77 per cent) with guide going on to reveal which styles are most popular. Hospitality professionals can also learn how to select candles that add extra drama, romance or warmth to indoor and outdoor areas.

In recognition of the ‘new normal’, the guide offers timely tips on making outdoor dining more appealing for people socialising outdoors this winter. Alongside advice on creating a welcoming first impression despite sanitiser stations and providing intimate dining areas while maintaining the space many have become accustomed to.
