Giovanni Coppo has been appointed as the new CEO of Sambonet Paderno Industrie SpA by the company’s Board of Directors, succeeding his uncle, Eng. Franco Fiorenzo Coppo, who served as CEO from 2009 to 2023. The outgoing CEO will retain non-exclusive responsibilities in research and development, supporting broad-ranging projects and technologies for the company.

At 39 years old, holding a degree in business administration and management from Bocconi University, Giovanni Coppo belongs to the second generation of the family that has established the Group and its brands as a benchmark in the international tableware sector.

After more than five years of experience abroad in the Group’s subsidiaries in France and the United States, focusing on retail market development and the organization of the subsidiaries, Giovanni Coppo returned to Italy. In 2017, he was appointed Commercial and Marketing Director, with the goal of consolidating and internationalizing the business, as well as strengthening the image and positioning of the Sambonet and Paderno brands in an ever-evolving market.

In his new role, the new CEO will focus on defining the global strategy of Sambonet Paderno Industrie, collaborating with stakeholders and business partners to ensure even more sustainable growth. His focus will be on several key aspects, including CSR – corporate social responsibility, digital transformation, optimizing the product range and distribution channels, enhancement of brand equity, and the development of national and international markets.

“We represent prestigious brands, and this company is also a benchmark for the Italian industrial fabric, recognized for the quality and impeccable style of its products. This is the result of a unique know-how and ingenuity that has its roots between Milan and Vercelli since the 1800s,” says Giovanni Coppo. “Thanks to the teams’ support and experience, valuable commercial partnerships, and the entire network of stakeholders, our brands look to the future with renewed determination. We face new horizons and audiences while working with constant commitment to the growth of this great company. Inspired by our past and motivated by a promising future, which we have already begun to write,” he concludes.

The Arcturus Group grew by 19 per cent in 2022 compared to 2021, reaching a turnover of over 180 million euros, and Sambonet Paderno Industrie achieved almost 90 million, with a 34 per cent increase over 2021. With 300 employees at its headquarters in Orfengo (NO), Sambonet Paderno Industrie exports its products to more than 80 countries, generating 1/3 of sales through the wholesale and e-commerce channel and 2/3 through the HoReCa channel.
