BHETA to host webinar with John Lewis Partnership

The British Home Enhancement Trade Association (BHETA) is hosting a networking webinar with the John Lewis Partnership on Wednesday 14 October.  The online forum will feature Anna Berry, John Lewis Partner & Head of Cook & Dine.

Anna Berry last presented to BHETA in November 2016 when she outlined her vision for the JLP brand including product innovation and marketing initiatives.  These included greater emphasis on rewarding customers within the John Lewis database and increased focus on product demonstration in co-operation with Waitrose.

In the light of the Covid=19 pandemic and its impact on retail, Anna revisits the subject from the retailer perspective confirming just how crucial driving change to realign with consumers has become.  As the Chair of the John Lewis Partnership, Dame Sharon White was recently quoted as saying “Shops will always be crucial …… but they will be in support of online.  Over the next five years, we expect to rebalance our shop estate so that we have the right space in the right locations where people want to shop.”  Anna, whose remit includes gifts and seasonal as well as cook and dine will be providing an overview of the recent changes at John Lewis and talk about how suppliers can best work with the department store.  There will a Q & A with Anna to discuss specific queries.

BHETA’s Chief Operating Officer, Will Jones says: “BHETA is demonstrating that not only can it still deliver added value services, but that it also able to provide information and contacts, including retail contacts to its members.”
