The February issue of Tableware International is online now. Our
largest issue of the year, we focus in on the force of fair nature that
is Ambiente, along with a look at Chicago’s The Inspired Home Show which
has been renamed for 2020.
This being the first issue of the year, it is naturally brimming with
new product ready for retailers and this year’s SS20 collections don’t
disappoint. We talk with the team at Mesa Ceramics who tell us about
their new collections – designed by Nick Holland. Under the leadership
of CEO Francisco Braga, Mesa Ceramics has undergone an enormous period
of change and it is well worth reading about how they are moving
forward.
Similarly, Crystalite Bohemia are facing the new decade with a sense of
direction and purpose, as owner Lubor Cerva explains to us.
As Spode celebrates 250 years, The Portmeirion Group’s sales and
marketing director Phil Atherton tells us about plans for the future,
along with giving an insight into how they keep the brand fresh and
exciting for retail. Similarly, The Portmeirion Group tell us about
their plans for Nambé since its acquisition.
We also speak with Australian company Bambis who are launching a new
brand to Europe – nomad home is set to be an interesting addition to the
European tableware maket.
Monno, too, have much to say as they mark a name change from Monno
Ceramics to simply Monno and they move halls at Ambiente where they will
showcase exciting new collections designed by Billy Lloyd.
Alessi is another company who gives us an insight into their new
collections – there is even one for kids in there! And Utopia tell us
about how they are taking a fresh, trend-driven approach to their
business.
This, and much more, including new products, trend-driven pages and a look at the American market.
The Tableware International team – Paul Yeomans (
pyeomans@lemapublishing.co.uk) and Mairead Wilmot (
