Rosenthal has collaborated with ‘zoeppritz since 1828’ on a porcelain collection inspired by a worthy cause – the preservation of our environment.
The rainbow takes centre stage as the primary motif for the aptly named collection, #331_RAINBOW, which focuses on the preservation of the environment.
Internationally recognised environmental organisation Plant-for-the-planet, which is committed to reforestation worldwide, is also a partner on the project. Sales from the #331 collection will result in 4,500 trees being planted, along with supporting the education of children and young people as international climate ambassadors.
The collection was imagined by Jan Alt, art director of ‘zoeppritz since 1828’ and showcases a symbolic rainbow which unfolds on both porcelain and textile objects. The rainbow has always been a symbol of harmony and peace, but also stands for nature conservation and the connection between heaven and earth. At the same time, it reminds us of our duty to preserve and protect nature.
Excitingly, German photographer Joachim Baldauf has captured the collection using his inimitable style – adding to the weight on the union.
Interesting fact! Rosenthal and ‘zoeppritz since 1828’ – two traditional German companies – can look back on a total of 331 years of company history, hence the collection name #331.
