Herend has introduced a stunning new collection, Phoenix, designed by its artisan craftmakers.
The Phoenix porcelain collection includes a limited-edition wall plate, Phoenix bird figurine, along with other handmade accessories such as medallions and stones – all meticulously hand-painted by Herend’s skillfull team.
In Greek mythology, the Phoenix symbolised resurrection and rebirth, while ancient Egyptian and Chinese myths associated it with the Sun God.
Legend has it that the Phoenix is reborn every five hundred years, by perishing in a colourful display of fire, with a new Phoenix rising from the ashes. The flames remove all sins of the past and purify to begin life anew. A symbol used throughout history, the rejuvenation of this mythical firebird reflects the continued renaissance of humanity.
