German glassmaker Josephinenhütte has announced the launch of the limited Alpine Light edition of the Josephine No. 6 Set of six water glasses and No. 9 Carafe.
While hiking through Austria’s Dachstein mountains on the longest day, Kurt Josef Zalto was struck by inspiration from the vivid colours intensified by the lingering light of the summer solstice. Drawing from this natural beauty, he designed the Alpine Light collection, featuring six vibrant hues of Mountain Spring, Lupin’s Glow, Twilight Breeze, Morning Copper, Wild Dandelion, and Emerald Lake. These soft tones and colour palette have taken shape in Josephine No. 6 Alpine Light, a limited-edition six glass series, and the limited-edition No. 9 Carafe, available in all six colours.
In celebration of midsummer, the Josephine No. 6 Alpine Light Set and No. 9 Carafe will be released to the general public on the summer solstice, June 21.
The release is a follow up of the highly popular Alpine Light No. 5 Set, which sold out in a matter of days in 2025. This year, due to popular demand, Kurt Josef Zalto decided to release the Alpine Light series in the larger water glass, the Josephine No. 6, which holds 400ml / 13.5oz. The glass is perfect for summer cocktails, as well as water and soft drinks.
The Alpine Light Josephine No. 6 Set of glasses, and separately, the No. 9 Carafe will be available while stocks last. The Josephine No. 6 is available in an array of all colours, or in a single colour of your choice.
The limited-edition Josephine No. 6 Alpine Light six-piece set is priced at €290 / $395 USA / CHF 340 / UK £320. The No 9. Alpine Light Carafe is €130 / $195 USA / CHF 150 / UK £140.
