The New York Tabletop Show recently closed the doors on its annual fall show. Despite Covid-19 forcing organisers to adapt a new show format – both online and in-person appointments were available – Forty One Madison has reported a “steady flow of attendeesâ€.
Speaking to Tableware International, Kristi Forbes, senior vice president, Forty One Madison, describes the past year as “a trying one for allâ€.
Reflecting on the show itself, Kristi says: “With the safety of our community in mind, we made unprecedented decisions for our fall New York Tabletop Show. For the first time we hosted both an in-person and virtual experience for visitors near and far. At Forty One Madison, we had a steady flow of attendees check-in for showroom appointments, others opted for our new online Tabletop Market hub which hosted most of our events and programming including 3-D virtual showroom tours, webinars, workshops, new product showcase, Tastemaker Takeovers, and more.â€
Kristi adds: “While we all miss the energy of a live bustling show full of events and networking, our webinars events and new product resources will continue to be accessible on 41Madison.com/tableaux for the community to enjoy at their leisure.
Now that our virtual show hub is set up, it’s something we look forward to expanding and building on to supplement future shows, as well.â€
The next show is due to run from 13-16 April 2021.
